Glass plate negative is one in a series of pitcher's grips photographs that legendary photographer Charles Conlon captured. Fragile negative measures 4x5" but is in perfect condition with original paper sleeve, which shows it's age with some chipping but Conon's black fountain pen writing remains clear: "George Earnshaw - Athletics - Fastball." Taken in 1929, but with this glass plate it's possible to produce images as crisp as the original.
