At least 1/3 of the cards are in strong EX or better condition; a fair number of cards thru #180 are the scarcer white back variety. Six (6) cards have been graded and encapsulated by SGC with: #15 Banks-gray back FR 1.5; #33 Clemente-gray back VG-EX 4; #130 Mays-gray back EX 5; #166 Dodgers TC-white back VG-EX 4; #240 Ford NM 7; and #292 Aparicio (R) EX-MT 6. The stars and specials include: Williams (EX), Kaline (GD), Cubs Team dated (VG-EX to EX), Robinson (VG, scuff marks), Aaron (VG-EX), Koufax (FR-GD), Campy (GD), Berra (FR-GD), Mantle (FR-GD), Hodges (VG-EX), Snider (EX-MT), Killebrew (VG), Yankees Team (VG-EX, crease). Dated team cards are the Cubs, Phillies, Redlegs, Braves, and Orioles. Overall, the set grades 5% NM, 35% EX to EX-MT, 45% VG to VG-EX, 15% lesser. A very nice ’56 Topps baseball set, with a few specials included. Total of 347 cards.
