Circa 1870s cabinet card featuring famed writer and poet Edgar Allen Poe. Photo portion in black and white measures 3.75x5.5" extending to 4.25x6.5" on the card. "Conly" and "Boston" are printed on the left and right corners respectively, back has CF Conly Photographer logo with some stray pen and pencil writing. Part of the collection from Brown Brothers, billed as "the nation's oldest stock photo agency," which was founded in 1904.
