McAvoy played catcher while with the Athletics from 1913-15; 1917-1919 and even played with Babe Ruth briefly on the 1914 Orioles. The front of this time capsule reads "All Americans, All Nationals, Base Ball Tours, Hawaiin Islands, United States, 1914." The interior of this rarity features large double sided pages loaded with 350+ photographs of Wickey McAvoy's amazing adventures and features other players, other athletes, friends, automobiles, animals, interesting events and much more. All though the front and back cover show visible wear, it has withstood the test of time. The majority of the photographs present well and are true treasures. Some have been removed and are loose; others have been attempted to be removed and are torn on the edges.
