Offered are four examples by Richard Reeves whom The Blood-Horse stated was possibly the greatest of the modern-day equine painters. The racehorses depicted are some of the greats in the sport: 1) Phar Lap, the Australian champion was also signed in pencil by its trainer, Tommy Woodcock. 2) Approaching the start, the Arlington Million 1981 (won by John Henry). Also included is the unmarked actual race program. 3). War Admiral. 4) Citation standing right surrounded by, at the time, heads of all seven previous winners of the Triple Crown. Each of the first three prints was also signed and numbered by Richard Stone Reeves. All with the exception of War Admiral are beautifully framed. NM or better.
