An imitation of the 1950 All-Star "Pin-Up" book with Ted Williams on the cover, the Japanese version features Victor Starffin, the first 300-game winner in Japan’s history. Starffin, nicknamed "the blue-eyed Japanese," was of Russian descent and was inducted into the Japanese Hall of Fame in 1960. He appears alongside numerous other Japanese Hall of Famers including Makoto Kazuru, Tetsuharu Kawakami, Hiroshi Oshita, Juzo Sanada, Atushi Aramaki, Takehiko Bessho, Shigeru Chiba and Kaoru Bettom. The book highlights 12 players in all, with Hideo Fujimoto anchoring the back cover. The book, which is uncut and in Excellent condition, was a bonus given to all buyers of the 1951 May issue of Shonen Club (Youth Club).
