Exactly one week after losing the World Series to their hated rivals from Brooklyn, the Yankees embarked on a 25-game barnstorming trip across Asia, including 16 undefeated games in Japan (15 wins, one tie). From that historic swing comes this clean, 7x5" scorecard (only the final score of 4-2 is noted) with the players' names written in Japanese. There's a Yankees team photo of the reverse and the scorecard is dated October 30, 1955. Thirty-nine years later, the Yanks would return to Japan to play two regular-season games against Tampa Bay.
