Still one of the tragic stories in sports, Len Bias passed away at age 22, just two days after being selected as the second pick in the 1986 NBA draft. This is one of the nicest Bias autographed basketballs to hit the auction block, from the 1986 ACC All-Star Circuit, which was a span of four games between April 15-29. This ball was signed at the first game, on April 15th, at then Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, NC. At halftime, there were only two or three of these basketballs signed by the teams that ended up being given away to lucky drawing winners. Sourced from Neill R. McGeachy, Jr., the founder and sole promoter of said circuit, this Official Mikasa ball is signed by 16 members of that series, including: Len Bias, Jay Bilas, Brad Daugherty, Johnny Dawkins, Warren Martin, Ernie Myers, Nate McMillan, Delaney Rudd, Phil Ford, Gerry Born and Anthony Teachey. Signed on all panels in black fiber tip marker, it comes with JSA LOA.
