From the 1920s or 1930s comes this weighty, handsome solid silver and hand-painted rectangular cigarette case. The cover sports an enamel painted jockey firmly seated in sulky with a trotter in full stride. It measures 3.5x3.5" and is marked "800," which is solid silver, and there is maker identification which we do not recognize. The snap clasp works beautifully, and there is a band inside, presumably to keep the cigarettes in place. The case is in EX condition.
