When a theater production, even on Broadway, lasted only a few days, the Playbill becomes a true rarity. This is because all of the players and individuals associated with the production want to distance themselves, because it has been "deemed" a failure by critics and spectators alike. In 1969, Muhammad Ali (in the Playbill it says "Muhammad Ali a/k/a Cassius Clay") consented to do a play and it was held at the George Abbott Theatre which was "the dump of dumps." This program is for the "Premiere Performance December 2, 1969," which is the theater moniker for Opening Night. This program is a standard Playbill, measures 6x9" and is NRMT. One we have not seen before and as desirable to theater collectors as boxing collectors.
