Years before they won their first title, the Brooklyn Dodgers were unquestioned champions when it came to the civil rights movement, breaking baseball's color barrier with the Jackie Robinson signing as well as the addition of catcher Roy Campanella the following year. The Cleveland Indians, following the Dodgers' lead, made Larry Doby the American League's first black player three months after Jackie's debut, and all three men are commemorated in this framed and matted display that measures roughly 17x19.5". The photo at the top is an original shot of fans lined up to see the 1949 All-Stars with Jackie, Campy and Doby on hand. Beneath are a small Campanella photo that is signed and personalized in 9/10 blue ink, as well as a Jackie Robinson 1950s exhibit card signed in 8/10 blue pen and Larry Doby postcard signed in 7/10 blue ink.
