Acquired by Jorge Velasquez directly from the farrier, Bowl Game won the 1979 Eclipse Award as the World's Best Turf Runner after winning five Graded Stakes races in 1979. Late Bloomer was the 1978 Eclipse Champion Older Mare, reeling off seven consecutive wins including three Grade 1's. This wood plaque measuring 15x12" comes from the collection of Velasquez and includes one shoe from each of the two thoroughbreds. Signed by George Velasquez in the middle in 8/10 black marker, it includes a plaque engraved "Greentree Stable 1979," as well as one amidst Bowl Game's shoe indicating "Champion Grass Horse."
