Tris Speaker was a Hall of Fame center fielder who played from 1907-28 in the Major Leagues, most notedly for the Boston Americans/Red Sox (1907-15) and the Cleveland Indians (1916-26). Presented is a Tris Speaker signed vintage photograph, one that contains his 1927 Exhibit Card image. Speaker batted a career .345, and his 792 doubles are still a Major League record. Speaker was a master at going back for fly balls, and as a result he could play very close to second base. He cut off many potential hits that way and also was involved in many double plays at second base. Speaker still holds all-time MLB records for outfielders in assists, double plays, and unassisted double plays. Speaker, nicknamed "the Gray Eagle," could range far and wide. His glove was known as "the place where triples go to die."

The offered Speaker signed black & white hobby fresh photograph measures 8x10", and the photo has a facsimile Speaker autograph. Speaker is wearing his Cleveland uniform. "The Gray Eagle" signed in blue ink, and his autograph rates 8/10. The offering has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA CERTIFIED "AUTHENTIC AUTO" (85646111). The photograph is in EXCELLENT condition.
