** FAILED PSA

Christmas postcard signed by legendary Olympic athlete Jim Thorpe. In his note, Thorpe writes to a friend and lets him know that he will see him soon. In full:

Dear Warren, Merry Christmas. How are you and your family. Will see you in two weeks back in Florida. My schedule has me very busy but we should make it back by then. Mrs. Thorpe sends her regards. Sincerely Jim Thorpe.

In a postscript he adds "PS. I will get the photos that you wanted right out to you." Both the text and signature are scripted in blue ink and grade 6/10 overall. The card is postmarked, but it was applied over the stamp, thereby obscuring the year. 5.5x3.5". Good condition, with light staining and few small creases. Full LOA from PSA.
