Maris has inscribed the photo in black marker "To Rory/Best of Luck/Roger Maris," with both the inscription and signature grading 10/10. A black facsimile signature of Maris also appears on the photo, near the base. The photo (7x9.25"), which is printed on paper stock, has been slightly trimmed to its current dimensions and displays a moderate horizontal crease running from border to border just above Maris' head, as well as two sets of staple holes along the top border.
