Richard was thus not a mechanic on the ice - he was an artist. he scored 544 goals in his career, all for the Montreal Canadiens. A right wing who shot left, Richard's eyes burned with fire as he neared the goal. What could be more appropriate than showing Richard holding the Stanley Cup? He helped the Canadians to eight Stanley Cups. He was the 1946-47 Hart Trophy winner as the NHL MVP. Richard signed the photo in silver ink and added his number 9.
