The Detroit Tigers won the 1968 World Series over the St. Louis Cardinals in 7 games, and when they arrived back in Florida for Spring Training in 1969, this welcome sign was in Lakeland, their spring training home since 1934 (except for the World War II years of 43-45). In Tiger orange and black, with off-white, the poster (10.5x13.5") features a snarling tiger and the words, "Welcome Tigers, World Champions, to Wonder-Full Lakeland". Poster has some slight discoloration in small areas and some wrinkling at corners, but in overall good condition. Nice remembrance recalling those champs like Denny McLain, Willie Horton, Al Kaline, Mickey Stanley et al.
