Fantastic compilation of eight photographs of the 1931 Tour of Japan from one of the trip's ambassadors' - Rabbit Maranville's - personal collection. The photos were taken when the team landed in Honolulu en route to Japan. The set includes four team photos, featuring Lou Gehrig, Maranville, Mickey Cochrane, Frank Frisch, Lefty Grove, Larry French, Jocko Conlan and more. They range in size from 2.625x4.25" to 8x10". On the back of an 8x10" team photo, there is a handwritten roster that reads "my dad (Rabbit) Maranville." One photo has large tears, while the rest have minor creasing and are otherwise VG-EX.
