The balance of the John O'Connor collection, this treasure trove of baseball memorabilia contains more than 225 team-signed baseballs and over 4,000 signatures! The mostly OAL and ONL period balls from the 1940s-60s average 20+ signatures per ball, with World Series teams, rookie era signatures, and a little bit of everything. The Yankees, Dodgers, Phillies, Red Sox, White Sox, Athletics, Pirates, Orioles, Tigers, Twins, Cardinals, Senators, Braves, Mets all appear on multi team-signed balls. The notable signatures include Jimmie Foxx, Rogers Hornsby, Casey Stengel, Connie Mack, Roger Maris, Dizzy Dean, Joe DiMaggio, Hank Aaron, Yogi Berra, Heine Manush, George Sisler, Gabby Hartnett, Jimmy Stewart (actor), Bill McKechnie, Billy Martin, Stan Musial, Bill Dickey, Joe Gordon, Grantland Rice, Pete Rose (rookie era), Bennie Bengough, Steve O'Neill, Earle Combs, Harvey Haddix, Edd Roush, Leo Durocher, Don Hoak, Steve O'Neill, Al Kaline, Brooks Robinson, Nellie Fox, Cal Hubbard, Walt Alston, Richie Ashburn, Eddie Mathews, Mel Allen, Pee Wee Reese, Harry Caray, Elston Howard, Willie Stargell, Danny Murtaugh, George "Sparky" Anderson, Harmon Killebrew, with many multiples. Another highlight is the inclusion of six 1963 Dodges & Yankees dual team-signed balls with Durocher, Alston, Dressen, Gilliam, Ford and more. The sigs average 6.5/10, while the balls are overall EX and some are NM (as you would expect in a collection so vast, it's bit of a mixed bag). The balls come with original Spalding ball bags and handwritten inventory numbers on them from O'Connor.
