This 1916 post card comes from the family/estate of Rube Foster, and bears the handwriting of his sister, Geneva. It measures 3.5x5.5" and the inscription in blue fountain pen reads, "Smooth Habana Cuba 3-11-16." During that period, Foster was winding up his playing days with the Chicago American Giants while also managing the squad. He was also a player and manager in the Cuban League at San Francisco Park (Cuban League). There is a clipped corner, otherwise EX condition. Rube's sister wrote "Hold" on the back in pencil, indicating that this was a keepsake and it is the only one known. Encapsulated as SGC Authentic.
