There rookie year 1979-80 green canvas Converse All Star sneakers were signed and worn by Celtics great Larry Bird and presented to Harlem Globetrotters superstar Geese Ausbie, correctly sized 13.5, with size tags sewn inside each ankle. The sharpshooting Bird placed large, bold period signatures in black marker on both shoes around 1979 and the sneakers show excellent use, remaining in equally good condition with no cuts or tears, though the laces on the right shoe are stained green, possibly from bleeding of the color in the sneaker material. Bird only wore this style in 1979-80 so they are indeed rookie shoes. Each shoe comes with a full PSA/DNA LOA.
