This great letter from new GM Larry MacPhail to stockholders of the Brooklyn National League Baseball Club shows that some things haven't changed very much in the business world. Citing the poor performances of the previous seasons, MacPhail paints a promising picture of the 1938 season, which also happened to be the year Babe Ruth coached with the team, perhaps influencing the profitability he mentioned. The letter is three typewritten 8x10" pages, with mailing folds and a slight tear, dated April 29, 1939. Still, the paper shows very little discoloration and is in EX+ condition. Comes with full PSA/DNA LOA.
