The 1968 All-Star Game was the first ever to be played indoors (at the Astrodome) and the only one in which no batter recorded an RBI (Willie Mays scored the only run on a double-play ball in the first inning). From that notable Midsummer Classic comes this team-signed official National League (Giles) baseball, which showcases 27 signatures, including: Roberto Clemente, Gil Hodges, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays (ss), Ernie Banks, Willie McCovey, Leo Durocher, Tom Seaver, Ron Santo, Red Schoendienst (ss), Steve Carlton, Bob Gibson, Juan Marichal, Tony Perez, Jerry Koosman, Rusty Staub, Cleon Jones and Phil Niekro. All are signed in blue pen, and there are some black spots on the label, as well as a few on a side panel. There is also evidence of smudging.
