This piece is truly museum worthy, as this was the actual banner used during the groundbreaking NFL Monday Night Football broadcasts of the 1970s. Starring the team of "The Mouth" Howard Cosell, "Dandy" Don Meredith and stalwart Keith Jackson, these broadcasts changed television, broadcasting, football, sports, and the world along with it. Nothing has been quite the same since, or as good. This masterful piece is 72x89", in exceptionally fine quality heavy cotton with chain stitched, sewn-on letters. Trendy font and design are pure 1970s pop culture. The brainchild of football impresario Pete Rozelle, Monday Night Football nearly single-handedly turned the NFL into the dominant team sports powerhouse it is today. Put into play by ABC exec Roone Arledge and director Chet Forte, the original team in the booth will never be equaled. They not only reported the news, they made it.
