Charles Schmelzer sold guns and sporting goods in the Kansas City market roughly a century ago, and here's an example of the latter: a baseball with label on sweet spot the reads: "Official League Ball, Cork & Rubber Centre." On the panel above is the Schmelzer's Sporting Goods, Kansas City logo, while on the opposite sweet spot is stamped "Schmelzer Arms Co." in script. The ball is in VG-EX condition.
