Helms Athletic Foundation created an 1952 award they presented to the 1952 Olympic Fund associated with the release of the film "The Pride of St. Louis, The Dizzy Dean Story." This was a biographical film of the life of Hall of Fame pitcher Dizzy Dean. It starred Dan Dailey as Dean, Joanne Dru as his wife, and Richard Crenna as his brother, Paul "Daffy" Dean. Poster-style award measures 12x15" and references the film opening at the Carthay Circle Theatre on April 28, 1952, and has considerable appeal to Dizzy Dean collectors and movie memorabilia aficionados. Gold watermark of Helms Athletic Foundation and signatures of officials Schroder and Helms, the condition overall is EX. From the collection of the esteemed Helms Hall Sports Museum and will come with letter of provenance/authenticity from Lelands.com.
