Mounted on linen, this pristine, stunning poster advertises the series of post-war Japan games featuring the historic San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League. Displaying some of the finest baseball graphics of the period, it features a a heroic pitcher in movement. This was a major PR move organized by Lefty O'Doul (he even played!) only four years after the brutality of WWII and Hiroshima, and even General Douglas MacArthur was caught up in the overflowing enthusiasm of the games. Game schedules are shown against the beautiful graphics of the stadium and the strikingly unified design of the Rising Sun and American flags. Measures 22.5x31" and NRMT.
