Offered here is a magnificent, ornate, cut crystal covered dish trophy with amazing detail. It's original intended purpose is a large compote bowl with lid. A massive cut piece of the finest crystal weighing 11 lbs. and measuring 15.5" high, it has an accurate engraving of Tom Landry and is inscribed "Farewell to Sport Presented By The Dapper Dan Club To Tom Landry February 10, 1989." It includes an original Waterford Crystal paper label. This award was presented as part of the outpouring of public support after his firing from the Dallas Cowboys in February of that same year. He was considered a legend in the fedora hat who built the Cowboys from nothing to champion in the NFL. No chips or cracks, NRMT condition.
