From the collection of owner Dennis Diaz, this horseshoe was worn during Spend A Buck's Horse of the Year season of 1985, when he captured the Kentucky Derby in fleet 2:00 1/5 time. The shoe mounted on this plaque may have been worn in the Derby, though we are not able to confirm that. The plaque reads: "Spend A Buck, 1985 Kentucky Derby, 1985 Jersey Derby Winner" with all persons associated with the horse listed below, including the trainer, owner, groom, exercise rider, assistant trainer, jockeys and even his vet. It is in EX-MT condition.
