Yankees historians and collectors will relish this trio of unusual old timer's balls. The first features 1923 battery mates, including Shawkey, Pipgras, Mays, etc.) and is in EX-MT condition. The 1923 team opened Yankee Stadium and led the Yankees to its first World Series victory. The second commemorates the 1953 World Champions with secretarial Mantle. It is shellacked but otherwise EX-MT. The 1953 Yankees set the all-time record for consecutive series victories at 5. Last but not least is a Wally Pipp along with two other non-Yankees, shellacked and rated 5/10 overall. Pipp was replaced at 1st base by Lou Gehrig, who then played every game from 1925 until 1939.
