Lost in the Fog, the 2005 Eclipse Award-winning sprinter and arguably most popular horse to come out of Northern California since Seabiscuit, began his magnificent career with 10 straight victories before suffering his first loss in the Breeders' Cup Sprint. As a 4-year-old in 2006, Lost in the Fog won once, taking the Aristides Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. III) at Churchill Downs in June. It was later learned that the "Fog" had been racing with three cancerous tumors in his spleen and along his back. For his career, he captured 11 of 14 starts and earned $978,099. Offered here are all four of his shoes from his winning Smile Handicap, mounted on a wood plaque, with COA.
