Less than a month after he became baseball's all-time hits king, Pete Rose smacked this official National League (Feeney) baseball off Astros right-hander Jeff Heathcock at Riverfront Stadium on September 27, 1985. It was hit #4,202 for the controversial star. The ball comes with a letter from the Cincinnati ballboy, Andy Bolger, who was given the ball and kept it. Lightly toned and soiled, it shows game use and is signed in black ink (6/10) on the sweet spot: "Pete Rose 4202." Rose is the only player in major league history to record more than 4,200 hits, and here's your chance to own one of them. There were only 50 more after this splendid specimen.
