Pair of classic Bugs Bunny baseball cartoon cels signed, respectively, by legendary Warner Bros. animators Fritz Freleng and Virgil Ross. Both of these collector cels pay homage to one of Bugs Bunny's most famous cartoons, "Baseball Bugs," released in 1946 in which Bugs takes on the might Gashouse Gorillas baseball team all by himself. 1) 1990 "Baseball Bugs." The cel features Bugs on the mound in a pitching pose, while the the print background pictures Bugs in five different baseball actions. Signed by Fritz Freleng in the lower right corner of the cell. A Warner Bros. seal in the upper right-hand corner identifies this a limited-edition cel, but no limitation number is visible on the piece. The cel (16x13"; visible dimensions) and background print are in apparent Near Mint condition. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 24x21". 2) 1994 "Yer Out." The limited-edition cel features an action sequence of Bugs diving into the plate and then into the umpires uniform to argue the call. Signed by Virgil Ross in the lower right Also displayed in the lower right corner are the limitation number ("113/750") and a "Virgil Ross Masters Collection" stamp. The cel (24x10"; visible dimensions) has slightly shifted within the frame and may need to be professionally remounted; otherwise it is in apparent Near Mint condition.
