Unlined index card signed by Hall of Fame Negro League outfielder Turkey Stearnes. Stearnes has inscribed the card "Turkey Stearnes centerfielder of Detroit Stars." Both the inscription and signature have been scripted in black ink and grade 9/10. Stearnes' signature is scarce today because he died in 1979 but wasn't elected to the Hall of Fame until 2000. This card was obtained by our consignor's husband personally at a Negro League signing show in the 1970s and has been in the family's possession since that time. The card (5x3") remains in Near Mint condition. Hologram label from PSA affixed to the card.
