Dan Marino wore this jersey on December 24, 1995 against the St. Louis Rams, and gifted it to a friend. Included is a typed letter that is signed by Marino. The letter reads in part, "Dear John, I would like to thank you for your friendship and support you have given me over the years. As a token of my appreciation, please accept the 'shirt off my back' which I wore December 24, 1995 against the Saint Louis Rams in a 44-22 victory." A Wilson 50 tag is sewn into the inside back neck area of the jersey, and below that is a tag that reads, "95". Number 13 is sewn to the front, back, and shoulders of the jersey. The numbers are aqua with an orange outline. The Dolphins logo is printed on both of the shoulders, and a Wilson shield patch is sewn next to the logo. The nameplate on the back of the jersey reads "MARINO". The jersey shows good signs of use as the right sleeve is cut, and stains are visible throughout. Included with the jersey is a September 12, 1994 issue of Sports Illustrated magazine, signed by Marino. Marino wrote, 'To My Main Man John, Thanks for all your help over the years!! Best Always, Dan Marino 13". Two color photos are also included. One is an 8x10" photo of Marino in action during a game, and the other is a "5x7" photo of Marino with two other people on a golf course. Marino spent his entire 17 year NFL career with the Dolphins, and he is widely considered to be one of the best quarterbacks of all time. He threw 420 career touchdown passes, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005.
