Rare Boston Patriots program and ticket stub issued for the first game in American Football League (AFL) history on September 9, 1960, at Boston University's Nickerson Field. The Patriots hosted the Denver Broncos on that historic night, with the visitors prevailing by a score of 13-10. This is the first ticket stub from this game we have ever offered and we have seen few others at auction in the past twenty-five years. The program is also scarce and represents just the second we have handled. The ticket stub (approximately 3x2.75"), which is designed in the shape of a football, displays a few light creases and is in Good to Very Good condition. The program (8.25x11") displays light wear and is in Very Good to Excellent condition. A scarce pair of souvenirs relating to the birth of the AFL.
