Enormous collection of 369 non-Hall of Famer baseball signatures. Many prominent players are featured here, including the main 1919 Chicago "Black Sox" conspirator Eddie Cicotte, as well as his 1919 teammates Frank Shellenback and Dave Danforth, Bill Carrigan, who managed the Red Sox to three World Championships, Bill Wambsganss, who made the only unassisted triple play in World Series history, Charlie Robertson who pitched a perfect game in 1922, Johnny Vander Meer, the only player to pitch consecutive no-hitters, Clarence "Pants" Rowland, manager of the 1917 World Champion Chicago White Sox, Cy Williams, four-time National League home run champion, as well as many star players spanning nearly four decades of baseball history.

Nearly all the signatures appear on either index cards or government postcards, but a few cuts, handwritten letters, and other miscellaneous items are also included. This collection was obtained by our consignor as a child, primarily during the 1960s. Normally, he would stake out the New York hotels to obtain the signatures of current players, but he also wrote to many former players, requesting their autographs. As such, many are personalized. A few also feature a short note from the respective player. The signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, average 8/10 and the cards/government postcards are in Excellent condition overall. Several of the signatures are accompanied by either a full LOA or hologram label from PSA (duly noted in our listing with the name bolded).  Please note: due to the large number of signatures in the this collection, one must allow for some secretarial or clubhouse versions.
