** JORDAN THINKS ITS NOT AUTHENTIC
Presented is a rare Mickey Mantle signature and inscription: The Hall of Fame center fielder has signed and inscribed a blank 3x5" index card as, "Mickey Mantle "The Commerce Comet." Mickey was born in 1931 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, and moved at four years of age to Commerce, Oklahoma, where he grew up and was a star athlete. As a youth, Mantle was extremely fast, and until he severely injured his knee in the 1951 World Series, he was regarded as the fastest man in baseball. Mantle was a 7-time World Champion with the Yankees and a 3-time AL MVP. He won the AL Triple Crown in 1956. With 536 home runs, he has more home runs than any other switch-hitter in history. As a youth, Mickey worked in mining offices near his home, and when time permitted, he would endlessly practice his signature. Perhaps he already believed that he would someday become a famous baseball player who would be besieged for autograph requests.
Maintaining his meticulous method in crafting his handwriting, Mantle penned a beautiful flowing signature and inscription in blue marker. The signed and inscribed file card is in EXCELLENT condition. The offering comes with a PSA LOA for the signature.
