Presented is a photo of a young Bobby Orr, surrounded by some of the many trophies he had accumulated in his marvelous but too brief 12-year career. Defenseman Orr actually revolutionized the game of hockey. Before Orr, defensemen only occasionally attacked the opponent's goal. Orr change all that with his brilliant skating, pinpoint passing, and bullet shot. Quarterbacking the Boston Bruins from his defenseman position, Orr took the Bruins to two Stanley Cups. Along the way he was busy winning NHL awards; A record 8-consecutive Norris Trophies as the NHL's best defenseman; A record 3-consecutive Hart Trophies as the league's MVP; two Art Ross Trophies (a record for a back-liner) as the NHL scoring leader. Orr finished his career with 270 goals, 645 assists, and 915 points. The photo measures 22x28" with border, and the border is attached to the photo. The piece is in Excellent condition.
