This black road Pittsburgh Steelers jersey shows great use as it was worn by Larry Brown during the 1976 season and very likely others. Eight team repairs are dotted across the jersey, which has Sand-Knit size 46, Pittsburgh Steelers exclusive, and "76" tags are on the front tail, Brown's number 87 is in white on the front, back and sleeves, and while the nameplate is detached from the back of the jersey, it is included in this lot and can be tacked or sewn back on if the owner so desires. Brown played both tight end and offensive tackle during his 14-year tenure in Pittsburgh; this jersey is from his stint at tight end, as he wore number 79 while playing the line. He won four Super Bowls with the Steelers and was a Pro Bowl selection on three occasions. Sourced directly from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Never before has a major sports franchise opened its team archives going back nearly a century. Let alone a franchise as historic as the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Founded in 1933 by Art Rooney Sr., the Rooney Family imprint remains to this day.  From the glory of the Steel Curtain to an NFL-best six Lombardi trophies, the Pittsburgh Steelers name defines excellence and winning.  We present the latest offering of “The Pittsburgh Steelers Archive of Exceptional Jerseys.” For decades, the Pittsburgh Steelers have guarded and saved their own equipment, thereby creating a huge void in the sports marketplace.  As a result, the Pittsburgh Steelers have become the crème de la crème. The rarest and most sought after game equipment of any National Football League team.  We were not there in 1922 when they first opened King Tut’s Tomb or discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls.  But now, perhaps we all know a bit about how that felt. All items will come with a letter of authenticity from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Lelands.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives Jerseys will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
