This George H. Burns professional model bat dates circa 1916-22, and was used by Joe Dugan as a member of the Phillies and possibly Yankees. This massive Louisville Slugger - possibly used by Red Sox teammate Burns as well - is quite the piece of lumber, measuring 34.5" and weighing a hefty 41.7 ounces. Displays heavy use with a repaired by nail handle crack, many ball marks, and a chip in the crack on the handle. Remnants of a shipping label are visible on the upper handle, and on the barrel in vintage grease pencil is the name "Joe Dugan" and the date the bat was returned to the factory, 5 18 22." Hard to find bats of this vintage with side writing intact. Comes with PSA LOA.
