Pitcher Dick Ruthven spent his entire 14-year career in the National League, nine of which were spent with the Phillies over two stints. Here's a game-worn, powder-blue, zipper-down road jersey from the 1979 season, when he posted a 7-5 record. The uniform shows fairly heavy use with staining and fraying. His number 44 appears in maroon on the right chest, as well as on the back. His name is chain-stitched in black on the collar, and there is Wilson Size 44 and "79 2" tagging on the front tail.
