This drawing of Eddie Germano features Ted Williams. This pen and ink drawing also utilizes blue colored pencil to add some depth to the Splendid Splinter. It is dated November 1949 and is VG condition with some toning issues along the edges. Eddie Germano was born in Boston on November 15th, 1924. He started working at age 16 for the Boston Post before a stint in the US Army. After the military, Germano worked in several newspapers until 1968 when he joined the Brockton Enterprise where he began a career in sports cartooning. Germano is best known for his Boston Globe work which began in 1971 and he is famous for his sports cartoons featuring Hall of Fame members and Boston area sports icons.
