Highly desirable piece of football history is sure to delight any football collector. The humidor is an actual size football presented to Knute Rockne dating to Nov 30, 1925, at an All-American football dinner at the Commodore Hotel in New York. Four coaching legends would meet there on that date to discuss the All-American selections and included Knute Rockne of Notre Dame, Glenn Warner of Stanford, Tad Jones of Yale, & Fielding “Hurry Up” Yost of Michigan. The base of the humidor bears a metal plate which reads Hugh Fullerton Compliments of Christy Walsh. Fullerton is best known for his role in uncovering 1919 Black Sox scandal. There are signatures from Fielding Yost on top of the football as well as others that are not legible, the signatures are considerably faded. The football humidor opens by a hinge in the middle to reveal a label which reads Hugh Fullerton’s Souvenir All America Football Dinner Appreciation to my Newspaper Friends and in Honor of Knute Rockne, Tad Jones, Glenn Warner, Fielding Yost and my other Associates Christy Walsh Hotel Commodore New York Nov. 30 1925. A removable match holder comprises the middle of the inside of the ball on a removable platform. The piece has a rather significant split on the rear of the ball running from the hinge to nearly the base for about 4.5".

The following items are from a private collection of a long-time Notre Dame football fanatic. The quality of this collection is the finest that we have seen.  It has taken a half century to procure these items and now is the first time that some of them have seen the light of day. Enjoy and help to preserve the rich history of the fighting Irish!
