Here's a fascinating piece from the early days of baseball in Detroit. This large and bound ledger features 67 pages of handwritten information all pertaining to the Detroit Tigers and their expenses. For fiscal years 1907-08, these records were kept by Frank J. Navin while he was the team's accountant, before he became President of the Tigers. All in Navin's hand, there are numerous mentions of Tyrus Cobb, Hugh Jennings and other payments to team members during that time as well as records from the World Series. This archive is full of Frank J. Navin signatures from when he entered payments to himself. This piece came from the Tigers archives long ago and features EX-MT condition pages that are clean and crisp. Very important and historically significant piece of Tigers history.
