From Jesse Haines' 9-inning complete-game victory over the Cubs on May 18, 1930, this is the actual game ball that the winning pitcher and future Hall of Famer signed and gifted to his daughter. Heavily inscribed in black ink on this Official National League ball, the south panel reads "To Juetta Lou, From Haines, Daddy Haines," the north panel reads "St. Louis 8, Chicago 2, May 18 - 1930," west panel reads "St Louis Haines + Wilson, Chicago Blake + Taylor."
