Here's a chance to own a piece of baseball history. Specifically, Jesse Haines' Hall of Fame plaque in its original frame. Inducted in 1970, "Pop" Haines pitched for the Reds and Cardinals between 1918 and 1937, and his achievements are listed on the plaque: "DURABLE RIGHT-HANDER WON 210 GAMES, LOST 158 - ALL IN HIS 18 YEARS WITH CARDINALS. GAINED 20-VICTORY CLASS THREE TIMES, TOSSED 5-0 NO-HITTER VS. BOSTON, 1924; DEFEATED YANKEES TWICE IN 1926 WORLD SERIES, LED N.L. IN COMPLETE GAMES (25), SHUTOUTS (6) WHILE POSTING 24-10 RECORD, 1927." The frame is matted and reads: "National Baseball Hall of Fame." Part of The Jesse Haines Collection, sourced from his family. Comes with 5" x 7" photograph of Haines with this exact plaque at his Induction. Excellent condition.

Jesse Haines was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970 as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. His impact in baseball spanned far greater than his nineteen-year career and he even threw a no-hitter in 1924, a feat that would not be achieved by another Cardinals pitcher for 50 years. This collection includes Jesse’s Hall of Fame plaque, a team signed baseball by the 1924 Cardinals commemorating his no-hitter, early photographs, autographs and more. This collection of “fresh to market” material sources from Haines’ family and is now available to the public for the first time.
