The NHL All-Star Game went on hiatus in 1979 as the league's top players hosted the Soviet Union in a three-game series at Madison Square Garden. This jersey was worn during that series by Larry Robinson, a standout defenseman on the legendary Montreal Canadiens of that era. Inside the rear neck is a Gerry Cosby manufacturer's tag size 52, and a large NHL crest logo is across the chest. Both sleeves and the back have the number 19 in orange-on-black tackle twill, and "ROBINSON" is sewn directly on the back, with NHL crests on both shoulders. Comes with Certificate of Registration from MeiGray, and a notarized LOA detailing provenance. Shows great use with a couple of tears - one right through the chest logo - and exhibits the toll of the three-game series, which was won by the USSR by a count of two games to one.
