Magnificent piece from the 1930s in heavy cast iron that once stood at the entrance to a farm that bred racehorses. It is unknown exactly where and which farm it was, but an unconfirmed rumor tells us California, which puts it in the time and place the legendary Seabiscuit captured the nation's attention. The sign measures 55" across and 59.5" tall. The quality is tremendous and excellent craftsmanship can be seen throughout, as it is all hand-forged. There is a large blank section that the hand-painted wood bearing the name of the stable once inhabited; unfortunately, it wore out over time. This is an amazing one of a kind piece unlike anything we have ever seen or heard of from the heyday of American horse racing.  Will require freight shipping.
