One of Bowman’s early forays into the world of non-sports, their Wild West issue features some of the finest artwork of any Bowman production. The set is organized into eight separate series (A through H), each with a different theme relating to the Old West: Winning the West, Indian Costumes, Famous Characters, Indian Warfare, Cowboy Life, Law and Order, River Days, and Western Stars. This particular set is in very attractive high-grade, with 20% presenting as NM (and a few better), 48% EX to EX-MT, 22% VG to VG-EX, and 10% slightly lesser. About 10% of the cards are o/c. The seldom-seen wrapper is technically in only VG-EX condition, although it presents much nicer. A copy of Ask Uncle Bob’s official Collector’s Club issue is also included to round out this collection. A very sharp-looking set that presents as bright, clean, and crisp.
